General Discussion / Forum still active?

This forum is no longer active and its no longer possible to register.

UltraGauge has a dedicated knowledgebase, support pages, and a support ticket system  which as proven to be more beneficial than this forum.   This forum was also the target of Russian hackers which created hundreds of user accounts per day.

This forum was essentially disabled by preventing new membership.   The problem is that Russian spammers spam this forum and try to post advertisements.   They use some automated means and create hundreds of fake accounts every day.   We put all sorts of road blocks in place that prevented posts, but occasionally a few would get through.  It just became too much work to maintain.
We have found that it is far more practical and useful for users to post on vehicle specific forums.   Anything support related should not be posted on the forum and the support pages, knowledgebase, and support ticket system is the best choice.

The Mobile device need not be connected or present.  The UltraGauge Blue Adapter will capture and store data autonomously.   All data will be available to the mobile device upon its next connection to the Adapter

Inside the white shipping box is another smaller glossy white box roughly 3"x2"x2".  The link is printed on this box.

Shown here is the typical shipping box to the left and the UltraGauge Blue product box to the right.

Ultragauge MX - Manufacturer specific gauges / Re: Preprogramming Question
« on: November 18, 2015, 08:18:07 PM »
I'm not too sure what to select when purchasing for Preprogramming.  Since my 2015 Ram Ecodiesel is CAN compliant, should I just choose the generic 'General Motors (GM) with CAN (~2008+) or something different?
GM CAN, Ford CAN or Tacoma would all be equivalent in your case, and none of the codes would work for your vehicle....but would be a good starting point.   You'll need to confirm that there are codes available for your year, make, model and engine size.  Given that it is so new, there may not be any known codes

That is the correct behavior when the Blue Adapter is in ultra low power mode.
The icon LEDs require almost no power and could never drain your battery even if left on for a year.

TCNTRL=0x93, the address is not included in the byte count

Inside the shipping box is the product box;  a white box which contains UltraGauge Blue.   The instructions link is printed on this smaller inner white box.

The -40 is what is common in the OBDII standard when dealing with Celsius temperatures.
Since the output of the ECU is from 0 to some number....the way they achieve negative temperature values, is to always subtract 40 from the value.  This gives a range of -40 to 215C

All vehicle parameters are in metric.
Hence all temperatures are output with Celsius units.
Math is performed first

-40C and -40F are the same temperature.
0C and 0F are not the same temperature

UltraGauge Blue Bluetooth OBDII Adapter & Application / Re: Blue and Plus
« on: October 14, 2015, 02:50:12 PM »
UltraGauge Blue is a new product and is not a replacement for UltraGauge Plus.
Using multiple UltraGauge on the same vehicle is not recommended.

14
There are two types of UltraGauge:

UltraGauge Plus - Fully self contained ready to use.
UltraGauge Blue - OBDII Apapter that Requires the use of a mobile device; smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc., in order to view data*

* Note that the Blue Adapter can operate independently of the mobile device.  The Adapter will continue to calculate and accumulate data even if the mobile device is not present.

The mobile device can be either  Apple or Androi.d

UltraGauge Blue currently does not support Microsoft Windows

15
Apple and Androi.d devices can pair to multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time

This will subtract 10 from it.
+:FFF6

But it is unlikely to be accurate.  It is not common to need to subtract 10 from a parameter

If you have the codes
