Its not that it is not supported, its only that currently there is no pre-programming option.
The UG 1.2 and UG plus are identical except for the added features listed on the UG plus product page.  Both support Boost if the vehicle supports Boost.

The Ultragauge MX 1.3 does support the Prado, but we currently do no have a pre-programming option.  Hence it would require that you find and enter the code in manually.   This would require some trial and error.

Ultragauge MX - Manufacturer specific gauges / What to post here?
« on: August 23, 2014, 10:21:27 AM »
This Category is all about the Ultragauge MX and manufacturer specific gauges.

Have a vehicle for which you would like a Ultragauge MX pre-programming option, post it here

Are there certain Manufacturing specific parameters that you would like, for example, transmission temp, exhaust temp, Fuel Pressure, Misfire Count, Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, etc....The best place to find codes is on a forum specific for your vehicle.
For example, if you have a 2012 Tacoma, Tacoma World would be your best resource.

If you find a code, other users would appreciate it if you could post the confirmed code here along with the year, make, model, and engine size.

(FYI, There are two types of parameters, those that are specified in the OBDII standard, and those the manufacturer uses when servicing vehicles.   The MX has the potential to access these manufacturer specific parameters.  Unfortunately, just like OBDII parameters, manufacturer parameters are vehicle dependent. For example, a 2004 Mustang may support Fuel Rail Pressure, but a 2003 Mustang may not.)

General MX FAQ:

The general category has not worked out.
Most post are vehicle specific and are better suited on a vehicle specific website.
Occassionally someone would also post a support question.  As this forum is not a support forum, it became an increasing choir to monitor and remove support post.

Good suggestion, well engineered suggestion, and the post is much appreciated.

Nice clean install, but it seems like it would be difficult to see and potentially dangerous?
That area just above and between the tach and speedo seems more practical, although not as clean

Only the speed/distance and fuel usage can be calibrated.  Please see the users manual.

UG can be unplugged without losing calibration, configuration and accumulated data

The version of UltraGauge that reads such parameters was completed long ago.  So little interest existed that requests for beta testers went unanswered.   The product was indefinitely placed on hold.  There are no plans to ever release it.

UG does not stay on.  The battery is dead the next day:

See this page for EM upgrade details and features:

Regarding supported gauges:

Do not use a non pre mid-2012 version  in a 2012+ Ford.  If you plan to use it in another vehicle, then the EM upgrade is highly recommend

An upgrade from the Classic to the EM adds a good many features and is very worthwhile.
However, as it would not resolve the 2012+ Ford Battery drain issue, it would seem irrelevant.
Thanks to Ford's new "always on" electrical system, only the UG v1.2 is compatible with the 2012+ Ford.

It is unknown if the 2013+ Fiesta has the same issue, but I would bet it does.
Since V1.2 has been out since mid 2012, no 2013 owners would have purchased the older units.  So there is no data to know for sure.
Go for v1.2 and avoid any potential issue

Custom Mounting / Available UltraGauge mounts

There are several mounts available for UltraGauge.   As new mounts become available, they will be posted here:

I would recommend posting this question on a Land Rover forum

Look in the mount section.  There are several examples of that,

One version only.  Controls are on the back.  The controls on the back are operated while looking at the front of the unit.  Its very easy.
