I noticed that the UltraGauge does not have different fuel types programmed. The ScanGaugeII does allow you to select the fuel type, thus it is not clear to me why it would matter. A gallons goes through, no matter what type it is, right?

Also, sometimes I run pure gas, sometimes a mix, sometimes solely E85.

Does anyone have any experiences with different fuel types? I am thinking about switching back to E85 again as I have to do a lot of long distance runs.

Greetings!

I tried yellow book bindings (blue + yellow = green), looks like OEM, but the light output during the day is not strong enough.

General Discussion / Re: It's been almost two weeks and no UG

2 weeks sounds like a long time. I ordered the last one of December 19 and  had it before Christmas.

The tracking number from USPS is kind of worthless in my opinion. I received mine and checked the status, USPS said that they received the shipping notifications. Go figure.

I know that it is frustrating to play online here and not having the Gizmo in your vehicle. Might want to give USPS a few more days, after all, the Christmas holidays might have delayed it. At the end, it is worth the wait.

Greetings!

Adopting a driving style like grandma probably produces the best MPG, slow acceleration, lower highway speeds, less fun.
Also pretending you have no brakes will help a lot towards the best MPG goal, by not accelerating hard up to each stop light and backing off the gas well in advance of the next stop.  Of course then you wouldn't want to draft trucks, because that wouldn't be safe, although it makes for pretty astounding differences in the instantaneous MPG readings.  Boxy cars vs. aerodynamic ones exaggerate the benefits.

:D This is why they sell gauges and all other fancy stuff.

I am with you HONxxxx, as long as I drive "normal", no gauge ever helped me increase my mpg.

Once thing I noticed is, thus mine uses the MAF sensor which is supposedly the most accurate, it still needs adjustment via the 2nd fill up with actual gallons pumped.

Thus it calculates the average MPG, the gauge is completely off. 35 gallons with 16.4 average, the DTE left after around 200 miles should be around 200 miles, and not over 300.

So the next fill-up with entering the exact number of gallons pumped brought it all up to "real".

The tracking number with USPS is kind of worthless anyhow, I experience this all the time.

First, even after I was told the unit was shipped, 1 day later the USPS tracking information still told me that the would not have any record of this item. In the evening of the same day it then stated that "The Postal Office was notified...".

The unit arrived yesterday, checked the status with USPS, it said "The Postal Office was notified...".

Today, 1 day after the unit arrived, it finally said it was delivered.

Way to go USPS.

I figured, and of course would have appreciated saving $20 myself.

Just think: $59.95 (after rebate without shipping) is still a good price for what the unit offers. And it will go up.

I checked other sources but was unsuccessful in finding one for the same price nor cheaper. And here we can talk to the makers directly, not some salesperson who directs you to the manufacturer.

I hope not, just ordered one.  :o

However, this is a good price. Check out the competitors prices, UltraGauge is way below that, and appears to offer more.

If you want something cheap, then why don't you get those $49.99 China items which only have bad reviews (like Autel)? Then you only have to post and complain about them not functioning, and not "beg" on other forums for "specials".

Remember, you get what you pay for.

What color did you use on the one in the picture?
