Fuel Gauge
« on: October 15, 2015, 02:44:12 PM »
2010 RAV4 Toyota

The analog fuel gauge does not allow decimals for the tank capacity.  My vehicle has a 15.9 gallon tank, but the gauge will only allow me to enter whole numbers.  Also, when my vehicle was entered, the fuel gauge still read to 999 gallons.  Two separate issues, sort of.

Should I set the gauge to 16 gallons - ie the next whole number?

Is that as designed or an issue?

THanks!

David

Can you please submit this question via the Support Ticket system (link below):

This is so that we can make sure to properly track it going forward.

I can reply to part of your question here:
When Analog gauges are initially created, there Min/Max values are defaulted to the Min/Max which are allowed by the given gauge.
So in the case of the Fuel gauge, the allowed range is 0-999.
Since the UltraGauge Blue App can connect to more than one vehicle, it can't assume that the max is the max of any given vehicle.
