Custom Gauge Layout

How do I configure my ultragauge layout for custom gauges? I have tried deleting all the gauges and adding the ones I want. Then when I go back to view them it tells me no gauges. Is there an extra step I'm missing?
Thank you.

I have not got mine yet but as this is a main selling point that they brag about, there has to be a way to do it. I'm counting on it since I will want to monitor things most people won't.

Configuration is covered on page 14 and 15 of the manual

I changed a few gauges to something different in the first hour I had the unit in my car. It was not hard at all.
