2002 7.3 diesel question
« on: August 07, 2011, 08:23:31 PM »
Will the Ultra Guage read fuel pressure from the OBII port on a 2002Ford F350 7.3 diesel? Can alarms be set if this is so?

Thanks!

UG does not support the Ford Diesels.  They are on the exceptions list

Are you planning to add Ford diesels in the future?

An additional question: Which Mode 1 PID us being used for the Fuel Pressure gauge?
The PID $0A, $22, $23 or $59? It looks like using $0A only.
Or does UG choose automatically the PID which is supported by the car? (my car uses $23)

(SAE J1979 _ 2006 says: Diesel fuel-pressure and gasoline direct-injection systems have a higher pressure range than FRP PID $0A. For systems supporting a fuel pressure sensor, one of the following 4 PIDs shall be used: $0A, $22, $23 or $59. There shall be no support for more than one of these PIDs.)
