Temp range
« on: January 16, 2012, 09:36:26 AM »
I see the units are spec'ed for a low of ZERO degrees F. Where I live in Central New York it sometimes gets to -20F. Will this damage the unit? Does it have to be removed from the vehicle at these temps?

No damage will occur, but the display will become unusable at low temperatures.  As the temperature drops the displays response time slows down to the point that it is just a blur.  However, the display self heats when used, so even with a low ambient temp, it will start working again once it warms.
