Ultagauge shutting down
« on: May 13, 2012, 06:26:39 PM »
Anyone else having a problem ?This has been happening alot lately. When the ambient temperature gets high in my car, the gauge has been shutting itself down. I've tried different mounting spots, but it still does it. I know there is probably some internal safety system, but it's quite aggravating.

The last time it did it was Sunday. It was only 75 degrees out. I had the windows down and driving towards the sun. So, it was comlpletely out of the sunlight.  I can feel the warmth on the display screen. Once it's starts, it'll continue to go on and off continuiously. It will not do it in the winter at all.

Well, it's been over 4 months since any shutdown has occurred. So, it's definitely overheating with ambient temperature.
