Distance Changes when engine is restarted
« on: June 25, 2012, 03:18:12 PM »
I have used this gauge in a number of cars with good results.  I now have a 2012 GMC Acadia and after trying many times to calibrate the MPG and Distance I finally noticed the distance traveled will all of the sudden dramatically increase after 3 to 10 engine start ups.  It will add between 50 and 120 miles to the distance traveled and it throws off my average MPG everytime this happens.

Anyone else experience this?  Any solutions?

Thanks
Greg

After reading more posts,  the gauge is adding mileage after the engine is shut off but the display is still on.  The solution was to change to power off timing but I have an older version that does not have this feature,  is there another work around?  Can I have my unit updated?
