Built upon the original standalone UltraGauge, UltraGauge Blue is a purpose built combination of Mobile Application and OBDII adapter, that has a unique proprietary technology designed to deliver the highest possible performance. UltraGauge Blue does not use the older elm327 technology designed to operate over a slow serial interface. UltraGauge is more than 20x faster than such solutions. Power Consumption
Bluetooth uses much less power than WiFi. Many find that their wireless device can run from the battery for an hour or longer with Bluetooth versus WiFi.
Autonomous
Unlike other solutions which simply stop functioning when the mobile device is not present, the UltraGauge Blue Adapter is completely autonomous and will continue to collect and store vehicle data indefinitely. When a mobile device is connected, all data, such as accumulated fuel usage, will be instantly available as if the mobile device had always been present. The UltraGauge Blue OBDII adapter can remain installed indefinitely without regard to any detrimental effects common with offshore elm327 OBDII adapters
Auto Connect
Once the mobile device has initially paired to the UltraGauge Blue Adapter, the Adapter will Automatically connect to the mobile device whenever the mobile device is in range. No user intervention is required. If the mobile device is not present, not connected or the App is not running, the Adapter continues to operate Autonomously collecting data, so that no data loss occurs.
